Arrival in Niamey and transfer to hotel. Dinner at the hotel or at the restaurant.

NIAMEY - AGADEZ
In the early morning departur by minibus on tar road to Agadez, getting through the most fruitful and populous regions of the country. On the way we will meet various villages with their mosques and their typical and coloured markets. We will join Agadez in the late afternoon. Accomodation at the hotel. Picnic along the route. Dinner in a local restaurant.

AGADEZ - BAGZANE PLATEAU
Along the ouadis we enter the Air Massif to reach the Bagzane Plateau. Picnic along the route. Dinner at the camp.

TREKKING IN THE BAGZANE MOUNTAINS
The Bagzane plateau rises from 1500 to 2000 metres on the sea level. There are many oasis and much water. Old volcanos and beautiful cultivated gardens where the last nomadic Touareg live. Five days walking in these beautiful mountains and sleeping in the camps.

BAGZANE PLATEAU - TIMIA
End of the trek. We move to Timia. Visit of the village with its gardens, palm trees, fort and waterfalls. Possibility to swim at the waterfalls. Picnic along the route. Dinner at the camp.

ZAGADO VALLEY
We follow the Zagado Valley and leave the Air Massif for join to the "bordure" of the Ténéré Desert

ARAKAO - TENERE'
Visit to the magnificent Arakao, a mountainous "circus" filled with large "waves" of dunes shaped by the wind. Possibility to meet with the nomads at the water wells. We are at the border of the true Ténéré desert. Picnic along the route. Dinner at the camp.

AGAM AGAM - ANAKOM
In the dunes of the Ténéré desert. Picnic along the route. Dinner at the camp.

ADRAR MADET - FACHI
Visit to the nice Fachi oasis and its saltworks. Picnic along the route. Dinner at the camp.

ARBRE DU TENERE' - TIGUIDIT
The Arbre du Ténéré, which is an important point of reference all travellers and Tuaregs crossing this very remote area. The Arbre du Ténéré was also the last acacia (and the only tree for several hundred miles of desert) of the once great Saharan forest. The Ténéré Tree was destroyed by a Lybian truck driver in 1973 and its remains are now in the National Museum in Niamey. Camp along the Falaise de Tiguidit.

AGADEZ
Time for individual visits of the city. The main sights are the central market, the 16 th century mosque, the sultan's palace, the camel market and some interesting silver shops: the croix d'Agadez is famous in all Sahel countries. Accomodation at the hotel. Dinner in a local restaurant.

AGADEZ - NIAMEY
In the early morning departure by minibus on tar road to Agadez. Arrival in the late afternoon and accommodation at the hotel. Some rooms in day-use. In the late evening, transfer to the airport and flight out. Picnic along the route. Dinner not included.
